my fascination with birds, continues...

One thing that fascinates me about birds is that they move in 3 dimensions, where we, essentially move in 2. They have an xyz perspective, we have an xy perspective. Imagine how this has molded their brain, their life experience? Imagine having to pay attention to the z, all the time?

From an engineering perspective, it's more difficult to follow a path (or draw a line) that changes in x,y,z coordinates than it is a path that changes in x,y coordinates.

I think birds may be, in some ways, more intelligent? (or) than land creatures. (Even fish have an xyz perspective).

having to pay attention to z would change the way i move through the world.

i would need a halo of directional blinkers.
