I'm so sorry. And what a beautiful picture to post in tribute. I'm about the least-spiritual person you'll meet, but there's something comforting about this set of photos, in which the end is really a beginning.
i turned right, intending to turn left, out of a restaurant parking lot (distracted by the week's events). these groves appeared out of nowhere, and my brother and i both pulled out our cameras.
my mother had a quiet death, and i was present...no fanfare post-passing, per her request.
